Are there queries to run to compare Install Base active instances with inv and mtl?

For example, we can match item instances that state 'in_inventory' with mtl_onhand_quantities_details. Can we match wip items and in_transit items? The problem is, it looks like we have a lot of un expired item instances that needs to be cleaned up. If we can clean those items up, it would help us update instances missing information. IB should reflect Oracle inventory and transactions. I am looking for a query to see the instances that do not belong or should be there.
