Lease Amortization Schedule

Peoplesoft 9.2 Asset management and Lease Admin


We have trying to update the system to comply with GASB 87 using the shared functions with LA and AM modules, we only have the AM module.

What I'm seeing when we do a lease with a payment in advance and a 1st of the month schedule, the amortization schedule is generating interest on the first payment, and when the entry to posted to the general ledger the credit side is going to the lease liability, increases it and stay in the lease liability until the last payment of the lease. To me this is not correct.
