How to manage the Oracle Installation User in Windows
This question concerns the "Oracle Installation User" used when installing Grid Infrastructure (Restart) both in Oracle 12.2 and 19c.
The installation guide for Windows states:
"To install Oracle Restart or Oracle Database software, you must use either a local or a domain user that is also a member of the Administrators group.
This user is the Oracle Installation User. The Oracle Installation User can be either a local user or a domain user."
What would have been a little bit helpful, is that it had been stated that this account is embedded for almost all Grid Infrastructure resources and if the account is removed then Oracle ceases to function. And thus this account should be considered a permanent system account not to be hampered with.
