Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. Hi,

I was wondering if me scenario was possible. We want to move from a Standalone Rac 12.2 Database to a 19C Rac cluster.

I have read that we can have 2 different binary.

My plan is :

Setup the new RAC Cluster in 19c
Configure a standby From the 12.2 to the 19c Cluster.
When ready, Switch over on the 19c Cluster then perform the Database Upgrade.
Remove the 12.2 "New Standby" database
Create a new standby on a new server.

Does it make sense ?
