How do I prevent jobs from failing after changing the password in a named credential?

We have OEM 13.3 running on Linux. All of the servers we have are Redhat 6 or 7. We change the oracle password on all servers on a scheduled basis with a tool that also updates the corresponding named credentials with emcli in OEM. This causes scheduled jobs to fail once the next time they try to run. How do we prevent this from happening?
