How to join MTL_Material_Transactions to WIP_Transactions to get detailed cost of a WIP job?

We are having an issue where the WIP Resource (which is in wip_transactions) was costed after the related WIP Completion (which is in mtl_material_transactions) The result is that the assembly cost is too low by the value of the resource that costed afterwards. We have an SR but we also want to create a query to identify any more occurrences of this issue, and any assistance toward that would be greatly appreciated.
