How to change Asset calendar in 12.2?

We are changing our Accounting Calendar from January - December. to July - June. Will we also have to change the calendar in Assets? I realize that the period names do not need to be the same anymore, but years have to be in Synch. We are looking for the Short Tax Year white paper for 12.2. Does anyone have the link?
