What is the proper method to convert to AHF from previously separate Exachk tool?

We have an Exadata X7-2 1/8 rack VM environment with Exachk installed on the physical DOM0 clustered servers and Exachk/TFA installed on the DOMU VMs. We have 2 single VMs (dev and test) and one RAC cluster in 2 production VMS (one on each physical db server).

Exachk is installed on the 1st production DOM0 server. It does not appear to be installed on the 2nd DOM0 server as the /opt/oracle.SupportTools/exachk directory is empty.

We want to update to the AHF utility, installing the tool to run as root in the DOMU as that appears to be the recommended approach. Since TFA is installed on this server also, can we assume that the Exachk was part of that install and the AHF tool will upgrade the existing Exachk?
