Campus Solutions PUM 20 Telephone Number Verification

We ran into an issue with testing PUM 20. The Admission area discovered that periods cannot be used in telephone numbers and those that have periods in them are creating errors. What's the purpose of this verification? Is it preparation for future Is it in preparation for a future change? Our temporary fix is to comment out all of their new code .
