standard carton recommendation not generating for items with line type D

Hi Team,

I observe that sales order creation application is not generating carton recommendations if the item is with line type D .

if the line type is S then recommendation are generating in F4615 table ,Could you let me know is it the standard functionality or did I miss any setup.
