Payroll N.A. - Negative Earnings

We have an employee with negative earnings. This is causing the pay calc error. If I set this payline NOT OK to pay will the system deduct this from the next pay check? I ran confirm in a test environment and I do not see this in the arrears. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
