ZA Announcement: Maximum amount of earnings for purposes of COIDA - 1 March 2021

The maximum amount of earnings for purposes of COIDA effective 1 March 2021, has not yet been formally announced in a Government Gazette.
The Payroll Authors Group of South Africa (“PAGSA”) has discussed this with the Compensation Fund. The Compensation Fund has provided the PAGSA with the latest Return of Earnings Form (W.As 8 form) and the form reflects a new threshold of R506 473 that is effective from 1 March 2021.
The PAGSA has been told that the new rate of R506 473 will only be gazetted once the issues with the Government printers are resolved.
Once the new rate is gazetted, we will commence working on a patch.
