Application Tier R12.2

As part of an upgrade of eBS to R12.2, the architecture of the application tier has changed significantly in that this tier is now made up of three servers: Web services, forms services, and concurrent processing server. 

Is it still recommended to separate the web server from the forms/concurrent processing servers using a firewall as in a typical enterprise deployment?
