Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. CNC, DB and Operating System - JDE1 (MOSC)

ESU JN18636 executable requiring VS2010 VC++ Redistributable & mfc100.dll file.

Greetings,

I was trying to install latest Planner ESU (x86) JN18636 on my Deployment Server. I got an error message saying: 'mfc100u.dll not found'.

Did a bit of checking and it appears mfc100u.dll is part of Visual Studio 2010 C++ Redist.

I had removed previous versions of Visual Studio and associated components and had only VS 2017 Pro installed on the Deployment Server.

I re-installed VS2010 SP1 VC++ Redistributable and ESU JN18636 installed perfectly.

Is there a white paper or known issues document on this topic that I have missed?

Must we (re-)install all previous VC++ Redistribution components going back to VS2010?
