Failure installing patch 19.10.0.0.0

in Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) (MOSC) 5 comments

Has anyone experienced the following failure when patching the ODA to 19.10.0.0.0 from 19.9.0.0.0?

DCS-10008:Failed to update DCScomponents: 19.10.0.0.0.

Even though prechecks passed, it appears from log files that mySQL has a problem with the CDT timezone. One of the log files shows:

Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: The server time zone value 'CDT' is unrecognized or represents more than one time zone. You must configure either the server or JDBC driver (via the 'serverTimezone' configuration property) to use a more specific time zone value if you want to utilize time zone support.

I opened up an SR with Oracle but wonder if anyone else has a fix for this. Thank you.
