Adding Segments in Location Flexfield - 12.1.3

Dear Team,

We have defined FA Location flexfield having 3 segments and have been using this for the last couple of years. Now due to new business requirements, we need to add more segments into Location flexfield to meet specific business requirements.

Please advise if this is feasible to add more segments, after using the structure for long time. Will there be any data corruption issue OR else?
