Changing from AMM to ASMM and need clarification on memory and kernel parameters
Hello,
We are on Oracle 19.7 and Solaris SPARC 11.4
We've been using Automatic Memory Management since database 11.4 and are seriously considering switching to Automatic Shared Memory Management.
I'm looking for advice on setting kernel parameters relating to memory.
I've read several support documents on this topic, plus documentation from various sources, but can't find exactly what I'm looking for. Things seem to change around a lot for the various types, through the various versions.
My plan is to set sga_target and pga_aggregate_target. Possibly pga_aggregate_limit, but I might also just go with the defaults for now.
Currently, we only have memory_target set.
