Is there a restriction in sales order lines more that 500

we have noticed that sometimes when sales order lines are more the 500 all the lines are not processed to next level when we run a report such as Pick slip or delivery note. So i wanted to know is there a best practice advised by oracle on how many lines we can use in a sales order or any alternative suggestion is welcome . Using 9.2
