Item Conversion- On hand and Valuation

Dear Experts,

  1. Currently the items are stored in a third party system
  2. We are implementing Oracle Inventory and want to bring those items to Oracle Inventory system with the correct valuation

Would like to know the best approach to acheive this?

  1. Items can be imported through item Open Interface.
  2. How to import the item cost( is it during item import or once items is imported item cost update )?
  3. How can we bring the Onhand qty with the inventory Value.

Please guide
