Changing the GL primary ledger currency

Hi,

We have a requirement to change the currency of the primary ledger from CHF to USD.

Is there any workaround/alternative solution to implement the above instead of end dating the existing setup and implementing the new ledger/OU etc.

We are using Oracle EBS R12.1.3.
