ACA IRS Error “If the Information Return checkbox 'CorrectedInd' is not checked ..."

When we summitted the 2020 ACA File to the IRS we received the following error: 

<ns2:ErrorMessageCd>Shared-001</ns2:ErrorMessageCd>

<ns2:ErrorMessageTxt>If the Information Return checkbox 'CorrectedInd' is not checked and 'CoveredIndividualName' in 'CoveredIndividualGrp' has a value and no corresponding checkboxes in group 'CoveredIndividualMonthlyIndGrp' ('JanuaryInd' through 'DecemberInd') are checked, then the corresponding checkbox 'CoveredIndividualAnnualInd' must be checked.</ns2:ErrorMessageTxt>

The problem relates to this employee population because we “Merge Other Data Source” and “Replace All Data” for these employees.

We take the following steps:

1.      Navigate to: Benefits > ACA Annual Processing > Create ACA Form Data > Review Employee Data Load

2.      Enter the data you want for this employee
