How to improve runtime of consolidation?

We have concern in our project wherein we have performance degradation

  1. EPU long running (with idle time in between EPU POV)
  2. Forecast consolidation long running

We did database tuning and offloading applications - keeping one active application in production but apparently no change in the performance. wondering if there are other ways to improve it? Note that current version is 11.1.2.4 - anyone who experience the same?
