Restricting Inventory to 1 location

Hello,

I am trying to understnd the best way of performing the following sceanrio.

We want to only use specific locations on our sales orders for each branch plant. For example, we have the following:

Location 1 - Primary (10ea)

Location 2 - Secondary (15ea)

If we create an order for 25, I would like the quantity to be unavailable and for the order to go on backorder/hold. We only want to indicate the 10ea is available.

Is this Lot Status code in P41024 the best solution? I understand that there will be some reprocussions on the locations that have a lot status code, since it indicates quantity is "not available".
