Fluid Position Management removed the functionality of changing the Effective Date

In Classic Position Data, users can update the effective date of a position within the page. However in fluid Position Management, the only way to set the value of effective date is during the creation and/or add a new row. Is there any documentation from Oracle with the reason why they've removed this functionality? Appreciate your insights. Thank you.
