Any way to validate schedule definitions better?

Hello,

The Schedule page's Shifts Tab (screenshot below), used to define schedules, takes a number of inputs for each day. It is very problematic if users enter a Workday ID without a Shift ID, or vice versa. Or enter nothing (without checking the Off-shift box). Based on our business practices (and others I imagine), this would never be a valid use case and we would like to check for missing input(s) upon Save without writing a customization.

Is there a configurable way to accomplish this?

If not, could move validations on this page be considered for a future enhancement?
