Oracle Database with Oracle RAC on Extended Clusters requirement

Hello,

Does anyone have configured Oracle RAC on Extended clusters?. We are planning to have a 2 availability zone datacenters that are quite near to each other. And we came across the Oracle RAC on extended clusters option. What are they requirements that have to be considered for this configuration?. Any information is greatly appreciated.
