On the P08730, is there a way to set default value to be whatever is current

Using JDE EnterpriseOne 9.2.

I've updated the P08730 -  Employee Status Change Setup by placing a green check mark next to the field [EST] under the Promotion change type. The result was to make the [EST] field display and editable on the Promotion form.

When the Promotion change type form is selected to start the MSS entries, the [EST] field is blank.

No entry is made to the [EST] field as there is no change needed.

However, when the MSS workflow routes to the approver, a default value is populated on the form that is not the current value.

All other fields for the Promotion change type form have a default value which is the current record entry.
