Error Code - 73 During Opatch

First, the ORACLE_HOME and the PATH are perfectly correct. Next, all associated services have been stopped. The server was rebooted to insure any connections were broken. Lastly, we even 'shutdown' the instance. In every case, this error is thrown.

At one point, we though it might be:

Ensure both oraInst.loc points to the correct central inventory and re-run opatch auto.


But we have 7 other instances that patched perfectly well with the exact configuration.

I am unable to share logs since these systems are secured. Please offer any assistance if possible.
