Standard Costing and % Shrink on Item Branch / Additional Info

We are considering % Shrink to solve a current use case, but when we roll the costs of the parent item with a Shrink percentage added in the Item Branch / Additional Info, the cost only considers the BOM qty, not the BOM Qty plus % Shrink. Is this behaviour standard functionality?
