F060116.YASSN mask

My HR/PR people would like me to remove the display mask on the SSN alias in DD. I would like to verify that doing this would cause no adverse affects in any of the other forms, reports, etc., that use the SSN dd item. We have found that the workarounds to use A/B or to enable the processing option to view the SSN in the grid acceptable, but not ideal for our situation. We have also found some reports that my payroll persons run print the mask and she says she needs the full number. For example, R073231.
