Installing Essbase Error- invalid component name provided: MDS. Why?

Our MSSQL database is called MDS. Why would we be getting the error below?

Here is the error message we are getting-

configuring essbase21c on linux, with sqlserver, getting an error looking for the MDS schema. ran into this error CAUSE - RCU-6065 Invalid component name(s) were provided : MDS

tried to pre-create the schema but the Metadata Services component wasn't an option to select. 

Thank you for any help you can provide.
