Why depreciation is not calculating for some assets

Hi Gurus,

Depreciation is not calculating for some assets. When we dig into the details, we have discovered that date placed in service is different than prorate date.


When we update the DPIS as prorate date, depreciation is calculated. Can we know what is the logic to have DPIS as prorate date?
