Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. This means that users with generic domains (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, and others) will no longer be granted access to the discussion forums and ideas labs. Why cannot DBCA in oracle home cannot see ASM disk group. Version 19.10 Linux redhat 8.3?

I am on a new linux box running redhat 8.3 and oracle 19.10.

When I run dbca to create a database it says it can nor see my ASM disk group.

However my oracle db owner can see the disk in /dev/oracleasm/disks.

Why is this a problem?
