Upgrade a 12.2 database on Solaris/Sparc to 19c on RHEL8

I am/have been reading the 19c DB Admin guide regarding transporting data and the 19c DB Upgrade Guide regarding exp/imp. I don't have a clear handle on the high level "order of operations" I need to follow. Does anyone have experience moving to a new platform and upgrading at the same time. I am aware of the endian difference. I'm just looking for the high level tasks and in what order they need to be performed.
