Approval PO inside email via approval button without in need to login to Oracle EBS

Currently user will receive Workflow notification indicate that he/she has a PO to approve, so he/she login to EBS to either approve or deny it. Life goes on. (we or I do not know anything better)

Now, I learned that you can actually approval a PO inside WF email by click approval button. In order to have that feature, I have to configure WF notification mailer to process incoming email. But when user click approval button, it actually send out an email with information of 'Action', 'WF nid'. the information is stored in Microsoft exchange server, how Oracle application server can retrieve this information? Is that mean I actually need to configure a mail server running on Oracle application tier?
