Auto-Populate Not Working via Unifier Webservices Integration

We are integrating data into cost line item business processes. We take certain line item fields from the details form and display them as a summary on the upper form using auto populate.

We have noticed that new records being created are working correctly but when already created records are being updated via integration (webservices), the auto populated fields do not update. It seems like this is happening because the records are always on the view form when the web services does updates.

The only way to get Unifier to update the auto populated fields is by going in and manually hitting edit and submit through the system which is not great when you have thousands of records coming in.
