JDE 9.0 Order Promising feature

We are trying to activate the Order Promising feature (Not Oracle Global Order Promising) into JDE 9.0; however, I am not aware of what setup we would need to do in Sales / Purchase/ Inventory and Manufacturing to capture correct dates. If anyone can recommend any KG white paper or document would be very helpful.
