Rolling 365 Day Absence Period
We are being required to implement Paid Parental Leave here in Georgia for our school district employees. Eligible employees can take up to 120 hours within a rolling 365 day period. We have created a new Absence Take Type and Absence Take, and setup the eligibility requirement of six months.
For example, an employee has a child on July 1st, 2021 (to simply I will leave FMLA out of the mix). Starting July 1, 2021, the father is eligible to take up to 120 hours of paid leave through June 30th 2022. Therefore, the father can take up to 120 hours for that event and can only take the leave type until June 30th, 2022. We are going to issue a dockage for any hours taken over the 120 hours.
