POS Register DB Failover

in Retail Point-of-Service Solutions (MOSC) 5 commentsAnswered

I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of how failover of a store/register's DB works. My scenario is as follows:

  1. R1 (lead) and R2 non-lead at a given store
  2. R1 is up but its DB goes down

Q: does R1 automatically fail over to use R2's db or does R2 become lead and R1 become non-lead?
