EOSL treatment of subcomponents of an appliance in terms of support (e.g. Exadata)

Hi All,


I recieved the below query from a customer and am unsure of how to answer it specifically. Wonder if anyone else has been asked the same question and knows a proper way to respond?


So I think they understand that we say in the LSP and "List of Oracle HW with LSD announced" docs that a system (eg an Exadata X6) may have an EOSL date listed, but what does that apply to? The compute nodes? The storage nodes? Can the storage nodes be moved to another newer machine like an X7 for example and still be supported?
