Comfort Noise Generation

Hi,

I have an Acme 4600 (release 8.3) between side A and side B;

Side A ------- Acme 4600 ------ Side B

When pressing Mute side A doesn't send any RTP packet at all (not even CN packets).

As a result side B disconnects the call.


Is there a way to have the Acme 4600 generate RTP packets towards Side B when it stops receiving packets from Side A ?

the ComfortNoiseGeneratin SPL looks like it does just that but I found posts stating that it works only on Software only platforms. Is it so ?

Other solutions ?
