What are "Generic Caches"?

Hi,

When we run Sales Order Entry with debuglogging on we see that some caches are not terminated but remain with no records in them.

This works as designed per: EDI Sales Order Generation (R47011) Causing Memory Violation and is not Clearing Cache (F42UI02) (Doc ID 1673989.1)

What I would like to know is: what is the definition of a Generic Cache? Are this specific caches created by Oracle or is this about every cache created in a BSFN?
