How do I deinstall ASM so I can reconfig and reinstall ASM

in Database - RAC/Scalability (MOSC) 8 commentsAnswered ✓

On May 27 I lost the ASM disk group, the GRID Home directory, the Oracle Home directory.

So I download Grid 19c., again and Oracle 19c again. downloaded the patches

I reinstalled the rpm, I created my ASM disks , /dev/oracleasm/disks,

Then I ran gridSetup.sh -applyRU 32226239 which gave me INS-40404 Oracle Grid infrastructure is already configured on the system.

How can that be when there is no files in the old GRID home or old database home/?


I am on a red hat linux machine 8.3.

It is also a single standalone RAC and Database.

I work 9 to 6:30 EST.
