Send Message System Function Providing Bad HyperLink

Recently upgraded to tools release 9.2.4.3 and an NER using Send Message Extended stopped working.

We followed the recommended work around in Doc ID 2518625.1 and rebuilt the NER with the deprecated Send Message system function. The emails are now sending as designed, but the hyperlinks included within the email do not work and are noticeably different in format than the ones from Send Message Extended. Any suggestions or work arounds?
