Can "BACKUP LOCATION' be specified when restoring a db to a new server, like when duplicating?

hi there,

We are using Oracle 19.7 on Solaris.

We use user managed backups (so simple, and they've never let us down), but need to start using rman, and also multi-tenant!

So I'm learning both at the same time. It's a bit overwhelming to say the least.

One of the things I tried was duplicating a database, to achieve our typical refreshes from prod to test.

There were 3 recommendations about where to put the backups, so chose the simplest, which was just in a specific directory. And just to see how smart or flexible rman is, I also changed the names of the files (including the autobacked up control file).
