disable UOM conversion error when processing ST/OT

Is it possible to disable the UON conversion error when processing an ST/OT in 9.2? Most of our inventory is not set up with UOM conversions and user feels this is wasted effort when completing the transaction as most items involved are being obsoleted from the ST's item branch.
