use single or separated SQL DB's

in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered ✓

Hi everyone.

We want to use EPM with SQL in High availability mode.

Today we maintain only 3 schemas

1- Shared services (hss)

2-Financial reporting (biplus)

3-financial management (hfm)

We are planning to have ONE single database for above 3 schema's

the reason behind using single DB is the limitation of SQL standard edition that supports only one DB in HA mode.

  • Is there any impact of using single SQL DB that contains tables of shared services/financial management and financial reporting?
  • is auto failover using SQL HA always on supported ?
