Restoring an Oracle 19.3.0.0.0 database to a point in time when Fast Start Failover is configured

Hi All,

I am new to Fast Start Fail over. I've recently configured it and now ready to test the restore procedures. I've been reviewing many documents, however, haven't really found my answers.

1) With Fast Start Failover configured can I use RMAN, flashback and expdp/impdp to restore the primary database to a point in time? (I tried to do a straight forward RMAN restore to a point in time but I messed it up)

2) Do I have to stop the redo log apply or "disconnect" from the standby database before performing the restore? then re-enable it once the restore is complete?

Howdy, Stranger!
