Are there any 'tricks' to open a grid in smartview?

We are running FM 11.2.5 (but issue was there on 11.2.x) and use Edge / Chrome with the Oracle Smart View for Office Plugin installed and Smart View 20.100 on O365 (although we have tested on Office 2016 and SV 11.1.2.5.810 etc... No matter what I try I still cannot get the grids to open in SV.

The closest I get is a *.svlnk file downloading to the local machine but from there nothing happens.

Any idea what to try next would be greatly appreciated.
