P3293 - AIR parent / child relationship

Hi All, 

I added an AIR between the Parent and Child.  When I entered the AIR's the program let me saved it, the problem is if I want to inquiry/change the rule then I am getting an error.

If PEL (S1) = ABC

A PEL (S5) = 123 (Item Number left assign - Child) Alias (123)

Then retrieve Item Number XYZ

Error: No segment for Configured Item Number.

Do you know if P3293 has a bug in AIR's for the scenario described? The same rule works perfectly in CSER's.
